Aurora now offers our Enterprise account administrators increased control over which users have permissions to modify the site model, which includes modifying buildings, trees, obstructions, and setbacks. This feature, called Secure Mode, is valuable to organizations that would like to prevent unauthorized users (such as salespeople) from modifying the accurate sites that their designers have created.
As an Enterprise Administrator, you can now prevent Limited Team Members from modifying the site model. This powerful addition to your permissions set allows you to determine whether Limited Team Members (LTM's), such as your sales representatives, are authorized to create and edit the site model, or whether those permissions are restricted to higher-level users such as designers or Aurora's 3D modeling team.
By default, LTM's will retain permission to edit the site model. To restrict site modeling access from LTM's:
- Go to Settings (you must be an Admin of your account)
- Go to Users and Licenses
- Unselect the "Limited Team Members Can Access Site Model" checkbox

If Site Model editing permissions have been restricted for LTM's, users will see the following when trying to access the Site tab:
