Show Financing on Bill Overview Page
Toggling this slider to the active or on state will include selected financing payments on the Bill Overview card. In other words, you can compare the Pre-solar Utility Bills to the Post-solar Utility Bills + applicable Financing payments.
Note: Toggling this slider off will reposition the bill overview page to appear before the financing step in Sales Mode.
See the below image for an example of how it looks with this toggled on:
On the left, in the Pre-Solar card, we can see what this client spends an average of $174.51 per month on electricity (shown as Grid Use).
On the right, in the Post-Solar card, we can see the Grid Use fees have been reduced to $4.15 per month. The Fixed Costs (fixed monthly fees from your utility company) have gone up to $9.69, the result of a changing utility rate plans after going solar. And, we can see the monthly loan payment from the financier.
This comes to a post-solar cost of $273.86, which is higher than the original utility bills of $174.51. This might not seem like an attractive deal at first glance, but clicking the "Preview Bills" button on this page tells a different picture:
Although the post-solar payments are initially higher, the loan is paid off after ten years, and this customer will realize significant savings if they proceed with the project: $91,998 in Lifetime Savings, as we'll discuss next.
Other settings
Back on the Pricing Settings, users have two more toggles: "Show Per kWh cost on post-solar card" and "Show lifetime savings on post-solar card." In the screenshot below, these two options are active and highlighted by a green box:
The "Per kWh" cost section is also known as the LCOE of the project. You can compare this to the Pre-solar "Per kWh" cost as shown in the card on the left. Read more about LCOE here: LCOE Explained: Behind Solar Sales’ Most Important Metric.
Next to that we find Lifetime Savings. Lifetime savings shows the homeowner how much they can expect to save, all costs included, over the lifetime of the project. Read more about Lifetime Savings here: What is the difference between "Savings (Lifetime)" and "Utility Bill Savings"?
Together, these options allow for further control over your sales narrative.
