Measurement units, temperature, and currency can be configured at two levels in Aurora: the organization level (which sets the default for all users) and the user level (which lets individual users override those defaults for their own account). Organization-level changes require Admin access.
Change units for your organization (Admins only)
These settings apply to all users and all new projects across your organization. Only Admins can change them.
- Go to Settings in the left navigation.
- Under Account, select Organization profile.
- Click Edit in the top right corner.
- Under the Region section, update one or more of the following fields:
- Regional formatting — Controls date format, number separators, and unit display conventions (e.g., United States, European Union).
- Measurement system — Imperial (US) or Metric.
- Temperature — Fahrenheit or Celsius.
- Currency — The currency displayed across projects and proposals.
- Click Save.
A preview panel below the Region fields shows how your selected formatting will appear in practice, including date format, currency, weight, temperature, and height.
📝 Note: Organization-level region changes take effect on newly created projects. Existing projects may continue to display values in the previously configured units.
Change units for your own profile
Each user can override the organization's regional formatting defaults for their own account without affecting other users.
- Go to Settings in the left navigation.
- Under Account, select User profile.
- Click Edit in the top right corner.
- Under the Region section, update any of the fields. The current organization default is shown as "(my org)" in the Regional formatting dropdown.
- Click Save.
📝 Note: Your user-level region settings only affect your own account. Other users in your organization are not impacted.
