Keep your user profile and organization details accurate so that Aurora reflects the right information across your proposals, designs, and team workspace. Settings are split between two pages: User profile (personal, per-user) and Organization profile (company-wide, admin-only).
In this article:
User profile
Your user profile controls the personal information that appears on your proposals and designs, your regional formatting preferences, and your account permissions. Every user can edit their own profile. Admins can also edit any user's profile from Settings > Users and licenses.
How to edit your user profile:
- Go to Settings in the left navigation.
- Under Account, select User profile.
- Click Edit in the top right corner.
- Update any of the fields below, then click Save.
Profile
These fields appear on your proposals and designs:
- First name (required) — Your first name.
- Last name (required) — Your last name.
- Job function (required) — Your role, selected from a dropdown. Options: Canvasser/Setter, Design Manager, Designer, Engineering, Executive or Owner, IT or Business Systems Manager, Marketing Manager, Operations, Other, Project Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Representative.
- Phone number — Your direct phone number, including country code.
- Email address — Your login email and the address displayed on proposals. To change your email address, contact support@aurorasolar.com.
📝 Note: First name, Last name, and Job function are required fields. You cannot save your profile without completing all three.
Region
Region settings control how dates, numbers, measurements, and temperatures display in Aurora for your account. Your user-level settings default to your organization's settings but can be overridden independently per user.
- Regional formatting — Controls date format, number separators, and unit display conventions (e.g., United States). Defaults to your organization's setting, shown as "(my org)" in the dropdown. A live preview panel shows how the selected formatting will display across Aurora.
- Temperature — Fahrenheit or Celsius. Defaults to your organization's setting.
- Measurement system — Imperial (US) or Metric. Defaults to your organization's setting.
- Currency — The currency displayed on your projects and proposals. Defaults to your organization's setting.
📝 Note: Changing your user-level region settings only affects your own account — it does not change settings for other users or the organization. To update the organization-wide defaults, an Admin must edit the Organization profile.
Permission
The Permission section shows your license type and role. These are set by an Admin and cannot be changed from your own User profile.
- License type — Controls which Aurora features you can access (Basic or Premium). Learn more about plan features at aurorasolar.com/pricing.
- Role — Controls what you can do within your organization's Aurora account. Available roles are Admin, Team Member, and Limited Team Member. Admins on Build, Grow, or Scale plans can create up to 10 Advanced Roles with custom permissions. See User Management: Roles.
Account
The Account section of your User profile shows the current status of your account. To close your account, email support@aurorasolar.com.
Organization profile
The organization profile contains company-wide information that applies to all users, proposals, and designs across your Aurora account. Only Admins can edit the organization profile.
How to edit your organization profile:
- Go to Settings in the left navigation.
- Under Account, select Organization profile.
- Click Edit in the top right corner.
- Update any of the fields below, then click Save.

Region
These organization-wide settings apply to all users and all newly created projects unless a user has overridden them in their own User profile.

- Temperature — The default temperature unit for all projects: Fahrenheit or Celsius.
- Measurement system — The default unit system for all projects: Imperial (US) or Metric.
- Currency — The default currency for all projects and proposals (for example, US Dollar ($, USD)).
📝 Note: Changing Region settings affects all users and all newly created projects. Existing projects are not retroactively updated.
Account
- Account status — Displays the current status of your Aurora account. To close your account, follow the link on this page.
- Exit to CRM — Enter a shortcut URL containing the dynamic project identifiers {projectid} and {designid}. When set, this allows users to navigate directly from a project in Aurora to the corresponding record in your CRM. Example format: https://www.yourcrm.com/{projectid}/{designid}.
📝 Note: Exit to CRM is only available to customers on Enterprise plans. Please reach out to your Account Manager for more details.
