Admins control their account’s default settings for both Solar Panels and AutoDesigner, which apply in both Sales Mode and Design Mode. This means that an Admin can set up default settings so that design parameters are prefilled for every design.. This allows Aurora users to move faster and ensure consistency and accuracy across the platform.
How to Set Solar Panel and AutoDesigner Default Settings
The steps below list how Admins (only) can make these changes, ensuring that the default settings for Solar Panels and AutoDesigner are are applied to all users:
- Navigate to Settings
- Under Application, click on Design
- Click Edit at the top right corner
- Set your desired default settings
Reminder: Changes made will apply in both Sales Mode and Design Mode
- Click “Save” at the top right corner
How Default Solar Panel and AutoDesigner Settings Look and Work in Aurora
Default settings are applied to both Design Mode (as prefilled recommendations) and Sales Mode, so users don’t have to fill in parameters each time they place panels or run AutoDesigner.
Solar Panel Settings in Design Mode
When a user is designing with either Fill roof face or Manually place, default Solar Panel settings will automatically populate in the Place panels inspector. See image below.
AutoDesigner Settings in Design Mode
When a user is placing panels with AutoDesigner, default Solar Panel and AutoDesigner settings will automatically populate in the AutoDesigner Preset inspector. See image below.
Solar Panel Settings in Sales Mode
When a user places panels in Sales Mode, Solar Panel and AutoDesigner settings will automatically apply. Sales Mode users can see and adjust two settings, Orientation and Filler Row (under Advanced). See image below.
