Customizing Proposals to include Regulation Z Disclosures
Using Disclaimers to add Regulation Z Disclosures
Example Regulation Z Disclosure
Overview
Sunlight Financial, as well as other financing providers, require Regulation Z disclosures be displayed in any solar proposal that offers their loan products.
These disclosures can be added to your proposal in two ways: adding a text box into your proposal section, or utilizing Sales Modes' Disclaimers features.
We will provide an example of a Sunlight Financial-specific Regulation Z Disclosure for educational purposes. Aurora Solar makes no guarantees, expressed or implied, to the accuracy of the disclosure language. You are required to confirm compliance of your Aurora Solar proposals with your Sunlight Financial representative, or other financing provider representative, before sending the proposals to any client or using the proposal for any business purposes.

Admin users may add disclaimers to any section of the sales proposal. To get started, see the help center article Editing Disclaimers in Sales Mode. Again, for an in-depth explanation of using these features, the Aurora Academy courses are recommended.
Below is an example of how the disclaimers might look in your Aurora sales proposal.

"No down payment required. The first monthly payment on the loan is due approximately 90 days after installation. The monthly payments amounts due, the annual percentage rate (“APR”) and the term of the loan are noted herein. If you make a voluntary payment equal to 30% of your loan amount by payment 16, the monthly payment amount of your remaining payments will remain the same as your first 16 payments. If no voluntary payment is made, the remaining monthly payments on your loan will increase as noted above.
If you make a voluntary payment of less than 30% of your loan amount, your monthly payment for payments 17 onwards will be higher than the monthly payment amount for your first 16 payments. Conversely, if you make a voluntary payment of greater than 30% of your loan amount before your 16th payment, your subsequent monthly payments will be reduced to reflect the payment of a lesser principal balance than originally assumed for the balance of the term.
The payment amount for payments 17+ assumes that you make a voluntary payment during the initial period based on your receipt of federal, state and/or local incentives. These federal, state and/or local incentives may not be available at the time you request them.
Please carefully review the details of your loan, including the payment amounts, provided in your loan agreement. The numbers presented here are estimates only. The payment term stated in your loan documents will govern. Your loan agreement may assume you have not elected to pay by ACH."
