In this article, we’ll cover:
What’s changing?
We’re excited to share that we’ve rebuilt Contract Manager on DocuSign! Moving to DocuSign allows us to deliver more of the features you’ve asked for, as well as a more flexible and familiar signing experience for your customers and sales reps.
This upgrade also includes highly-requested features such as locked fields, custom inputs, calculated fields, editable sales templates, and more.
The experience for admins and users will largely remain the same, and you will not lose any of the functionality you’re used to today. However, there are steps required for both admins and users in order to transition – and we will be giving you free access during this transition period.
This transition must be completed by June 30, 2026.
How to transition to DocuSign
Setting up your DocuSign connection (admins)
To set up the integration, you will need to create a DocuSign account. This happens once per tenant when attempting to create an agreement template for the first time. To do this, follow the instructions here.
Transitioning your agreement templates (admins)
All of your legacy agreement templates will need to be re-configured in the new DocuSign experience. This will likely be the most time-consuming part of the transition period, so we recommend starting this process as soon as possible. To do this, follow the instructions here.
Creating user accounts (users)
When sending an agreement for the first time, each user will need to create their own user account in the tenant DocuSign account.
This is a required step so that the agreements sent can be attributed to and sent from each user’s email, and to receive email notifications as recipients view or sign the agreement. To do this, follow the instructions here.
How to access legacy agreements
Admins and users will still have access to legacy templates during the transition period.
Admins can access legacy agreement templates by navigating to Database > Agreement templates (legacy).
Users can access and send legacy agreements in Sales Mode > Agreements by clicking Legacy agreements.
