Overview
Account Admins can create custom financing products for their team to leverage throughout Aurora. Because solar companies may incur additional costs when a homeowner pays for their solar system with cash (or because promotional discounts may be offered), Admins can configure a custom Cash Financing product that includes a flat fee, per watt, or percentage adjustment.
How to Customize a Cash Financing Product
First open the Database from the left-hand navigation bar, then click Financing products.
Click ‘Add financing product’ in the upper-right and use the modal that appears to give the product a name, select a Project type (Residential or Commercial), and then select ‘Cash’ as the Financing type. Click ‘Add’.
Click ‘Edit’ in the lower-right corner of the panel that appears, then turn ON the toggle for ‘Include price adjustment’. Additional fields will appear to finish configuring the cash product.
Name: Add a name for the custom Cash product. This will appear in Sales Mode and may be seen by the homeowner.
Project type: Residential or Commercial
Include price adjustment: When turned ON, you can configure a price adjustment for when this financing product is selected; when OFF, this financing product will operate equivalently to normal cash financing
Price adjustment type: Choose from Flat, Percentage (of system cost), or Per Watt (of system size)
Price adjustment: Based on your selection in ‘Price adjustment type’, enter here a flat dollar amount, a percentage (of system cost), or a per-watt dollar amount
Click ‘Save’.
To enable your custom Cash product for use in Sales Mode, toggle it ON from the “All financing products” tab and ensure it appears in the “Enabled financing products” tab.
Selecting a Custom Cash Product in Sales Mode
On the Financing page, use the first drop-down menu to select “Cash”. In the second drop-down menu, locate the name of your custom Cash financing product and select it.
Note: the ‘Cash Payment’ product cannot be disabled and includes no adjustments.
