Overview
To help ensure sales reps adhere to pricing policies, Admins can set an allowable base price-per-watt (PPW) range, or just a maximum or minimum threshold, for one or multiple users at a time.
With this feature activated, when the rep is pricing a design and the base PPW falls outside the allowable range (or above/below the max/min threshold) an Error Warning will prompt the user to adjust the pricing. Also, an Error Warning will be displayed on the Project Overview and Project List pages, visible to Admins and all other users with access to that project.
Note: Base price per watt ranges are set at the user-level and will be enforced only for Projects that are assigned to users with a defined Base price per watt range. When a Project is reassigned to a different user, the allowable Base price per watt range for the newly assigned user will be enforced.
Setting Base PPW Range for a User or Users
Single User
Navigate to Settings then Users and licenses to access a list of all existing users. Click any user (row) from the list to reach that user profile page.
Next, click Edit in the upper right corner.
In the Base price per watt section, turn on one or both of the toggles for Minimum base PPW and Maximum base PPW. Using these fields, enter dollar amounts (up to two decimal places) to define the allowable range.
Click Save before exiting the page.
Multiple Users - Teams and Partners
Navigate to Settings then Users and licenses to access a list of all existing users.
Next, to set the same base PPW range for all users belonging to the same Team or Partner, use the filter menu to select a Team or Partner.
Click the topmost checkbox (next to the column headers) to select all users belonging to that Team or Partner, or select users one by one.. Next, click Change PPW range located near the upper-right corner of the users table. Note: this will apply the same base PPW range for all selected users.
A pop-up modal will appear, in which you can use the toggles and fields to set a Minimum base PPW, Maximum base PPW, or both.
Click Save.
Base PPW Error Warnings
In Sales Mode
If a user edits a Project design’s Base price per watt and attempts to enter a dollar amount outside the allowable range for that user, the following error warning will appear:
The Sales Mode user will be able to click Save and proceed from this page, but the Project will be marked with an error warning on Project pages, visible to all users with access to that Project.
On Project Pages
If the current Base price per watt for a Project is not within the allowable range for the user assigned to that Project, an error warning will appear on the Project Overview page. Hover your mouse over the message to view a brief message with details and a link to that design’s Pricing page.
API Documentation
With Aurora’s Sync API, you can programmatically set base PPW ranges, minimums, or maximums for Sales Mode users.
