If your account uses Partner Management, you can control which adders and discounts are visible to users within specific partner organizations. You can also configure partner-specific default amounts so different partners see different pricing for the same line item.
In this article:
Assigning an adder or discount to a partner
- Go to Database > Adders and discounts.
- Click + New to create a new item, or click an existing item to open it.
- Click Edit in the upper-right corner.
- Use the Assign to… dropdown to choose who can access this item:
- All Partners — all existing Partners and any new Partners created in the future.
- No Partner — only users not associated with a Partner (e.g., admins and internal team members).

One or multiple Partners — only users belonging to the selected Partner(s).
- Click Save.
| Note: Users belonging to newly created Partners do not automatically gain access to existing adders and discounts. An admin must update each item to include the new Partner. |
A single adder or discount can be assigned to any number of Partners.
Setting amount variants for different partners
You can configure a unique default amount for specific Partners on a single adder or discount — for example, if different dealers have negotiated different pricing.
- With All Partners or multiple Partners selected in the Assign to… dropdown, click Add amount variant.
- For each variant, select one or more Partners and enter the dollar amount for that group.
- The Default amount (the first value in the field) applies to any Partner not covered by a variant.
- Use the Allow amount to be edited toggle to control whether Partner users can edit the amount or if it is locked.
- Click Save.
| Example: A "Roof Reinforcement" adder has a default amount of $500. Partner A has a variant set to $400 due to a volume agreement. All other Partners see $500. |
Accessing adder assignments from the Partner page
When creating or editing a Partner, you can navigate directly to the Adders and discounts page to manage assignments without leaving the Partner setup flow.
- In the left navigation, go to Database > Partners.
- Click a Partner's name.
- Click Go to Adders & discounts to open the assignments page for that Partner.
What partners see in Sales Mode
In Sales Mode and Design Mode, users belonging to a Partner only see the adders and discounts assigned to their Partner. Items assigned to other Partners or to No Partner are not visible to them.
If a Partner has an amount variant configured, Partner users see the variant amount as the default when the adder or discount is applied.
| Note: Depending on how adders and discounts are configured by the admin, Partner users may need to manually toggle them on, or they may be automatically applied to all projects or based on design conditions. See Automatic adders & discounts. |
