To give a single user access to multiple Aurora accounts, use email aliases to create a unique user for each account. This eliminates the need for additional email addresses, as all notifications will still go to the original email address.
To create an email alias in an Aurora account:
- Click on + New User in the top right
- Under Email address, type in the user’s normal email address before the @ symbol. Here, you will add a + and additional text to contextualize the email alias.
- For example, the usual email for a user may be
designer@solar.com
and their email alias could bedesigner+aurora@solar.com
.
- For example, the usual email for a user may be
- Enter the remaining required fields as desired.
- Upon clicking Save, the new user will receive an invite to their usual email (in this case,
designer@solar.com
) to create a password and complete activation of their new alias account.
Notes:
- The user does not need to create a new email account, as any emails sent to them ignore any additional text after the + and before the @.
- When logging in, the user will need to decide which Aurora account to login to, and use the corresponding email alias as their username.
