How to order an EagleView Powered Model
Overview
EagleView Powered Models enable customers like never before to reduce costs and the time spent on-site by combining the most accurate 3D models available with Aurora’s best-in-class simulations and design tools. EagleView Powered Models are only available in Aurora and are created using EagleView’s best-in-class site modeling technology. This feature is only available for projects located in the US and Canada.
What’s included
EagleView Powered Models include a 3D model of the building and obstructions. If the property has a detached garage, that will also be modeled. EagleView Powered Models do not include trees, but they are compatible with Aurora’s LIDAR data, and you can add hand-modeled trees after the design has been added to your project.

Eagleview System Merge
Step 1: Preparing to Merge
Before you start, make sure you have:
- A completed EagleView roof model for your project.
- An existing Aurora system design within the same project, which may include panels, inverters, DC optimizers, and stringing.
Note: The merge process is currently only available via the acceptance panel.
Step 2: Merging Your Models
- Navigate to your Project Dashboard where and Click review on your completed EagleView request.
- Choose an Aurora system design from the list of existing designs within the same project.
- Click accept to initiate the merge. The system will combine your EagleView roof model with the selected Aurora system design, maintaining key components such as:
- Panels
- Inverters
- DC optimizers
- Stringing
- Trees
- street marker
- gas meter
Step 3: Viewing Compatibility and Adjusting
Once the merge is complete:
Highlight Compatibility Issues:
The system will automatically flag areas where your current system design does not fit the EagleView roof model. Use these insights to determine whether adjustments are needed to ensure installability.
Adjust Your Design:
Address flagged issues directly within Aurora’s design interface.
How Trees Are Handled
Previously modeled trees will automatically carry over to the new design containing the EagleView roof model. This eliminates the need to manually re-create tree data.
How Design-Level Settings Are Handled
When merging, your design mode settings (e.g., performance simulation and shading settings) will be transferred to the merged design.
