Project Details & Home Electrification Overview
Sales Mode is now easier to use and more robust than ever. Users can view Energy Usage and Energy Bill tables on the same screen, and can access energy optimizations more easily, thanks to the improved Sales Mode layout and workflow.

What it is
The Project Details page in Sales Mode provides the details for your customer’s current home energy baseline. In addition to electricity usage, it can now capture oil and gas for customers with heat pumps enabled. This is also the new location for Notes and Attachments.
The Home Electrification page will be where users can add Energy Optimizations. This will also be the long-term home for heat pumps, EV chargers, Home Energy Management Systems (HEMs), etc.
*The Home Electrification page will only show if heat pumps or Energy Optimizations are set up for your account.
How it works in Aurora
- Capture the baseline once: On Project Details, enter your customer's existing electricity usage. For prospective heat pump customers, also enter oil and/or gas usage to capture the full current-home picture.
- One capture, reused everywhere: Because the customer’s electricity usage lives at the project level, your Sales Mode work flow allows you to enter and adjust energy consumption within Project Details.
- For existing appliances such as a swimming pool, previously installed heat pump, or electric vehicles: If your customer already has a heat pump or other home electrification item that should be included in the baseline modeling, this gets included in the Project Details page under “Existing appliances”
- For customers without heat pumps enabled: The Home Electrification page will still be visible if you have other Energy Optimizations set up. If you don’t have either, you will not be visible in your proposals. To enable it, set up an Energy Optimization and/or request access to the Heat Pump feature through support.
- In Design Mode: Home electrification items are viewable and addable from a refreshed toolbar.
- Built for what's next: EV chargers and home energy management systems (HEMs) are planned additions to this section.
Key considerations
- Home electrification items aren't visible or strung on the canvas in Design Mode — you can view and add them only.
FAQ
Do I need to re-enter energy usage for every design? No. Once you capture the baseline in Project Details (or Energy Usage from the Project Overview page), every design refers back to what you entered.
Can I add home electrification items in Design Mode? Yes. They're viewable and addable from the refreshed toolbar, though not yet strung on the canvas.
