Updates to Sales Mode Customization (for Admins)
Multiple Template Support
Proposal templates are now located under Database.
Instead of navigating to Settings > Sales Mode customization, admins will navigate to Database > Proposal templates to view, manage, and create Sales Mode templates.
Admins can now create and manage multiple proposal templates.
From the new Proposal templates page, admins can enable multiple template options for their users. They can select from standard Aurora templates or create a new custom template. They can also set a default template.
New Out-of-the-Box Templates
From the Proposal templates page, admins can view and enable new templates from Aurora for their team:
- Minimalist (in legacy Aurora, this is similar to Einstein)
- Maximalist (in legacy Aurora, this is similar to Becquerel)
Template Editor UI Improvements
- All editing and preview features have moved to the editor panel on the left-hand side of the screen.
- The editing experience now better aligns with the rep experience by mirroring the vertical scroll of Sales Mode.
- The Library tab under the editor panel provides out-of-the-box sections for admins to easily add to a template.
- The Blocks tab contains all available content blocks for admins to add to templates.
Updates to Sales Mode (for Reps)
New Database > Proposal Templates Page
Where admins can manage and create templates from Database > Proposal templates, non-admin users can view active templates and scroll through previews. This helps them determine which templates they have to choose from.
Template Selection in Sales Mode
Based on the activated templates enabled by the admin, reps can choose from the active templates for each proposal they create in Sales Mode.
If admins assign a default template, the rep will automatically start with that template when they create a proposal. To change the template from the default, reps must navigate to the hamburger icon (☰) in the top left corner of Sales Mode, then click Edit at the bottom.
From there, reps can select a different template for their proposal and hide or show different sections from the template.
Removed Usage Details from Bill Overview page
Previously, reps could click a “Usage details” button from the standard Bill Overview page to view a monthly consumption vs. production chart of their energy usage. Now, we have removed this page from the Starter template.
Admins can add this content back in by dropping in the “Consumption vs production” chart using the proposal template builder.
Removed select “Edit” buttons from Sales Mode
Previously, reps could access buttons throughout their Sales Mode proposal to edit proposal inputs. Now, these buttons have been removed, and reps should use the icons in the top navigation bar to access editable inputs for their proposal. The removed buttons are:
- Edit energy usage - Navigate to the “Usage” icon in the top navigation bar
- Edit solar design - Navigate to the “System design” icon in the top navigation bar
- Add storage - Navigate to the “Storage” icon in the top navigation bar
- Edit financing - Navigate to the “Financing” icon in the top navigation bar
Moved “Request Follow Up” button from Get in Touch page
The “Request follow-up” button on the standard Get in Touch page has been moved from the Get in Touch page to the top navigation bar. Users viewing web proposals can see and access this button from the top right of the screen at any point in the proposal.
Updated Storage section in Standard Template
Your Storage Setup |
Storage Details Option 1: Self-Consumption |
Storage Details Option 2: Back-up |
Previously shown on one section, the Storage section’s information has been split into two sections:
- Your storage setup
- Your storage details
- Where self-consumption is selected, the proposal will show the bill differences and the grid use chart
- Where backup is selected, the proposal will show backup power numbers
Reps can choose to show or hide these pages by going to the hamburger icon (☰) in the top left corner of Sales Mode, then click Edit at the bottom.
Updated Financing section in Standard Template
In the Standard Aurora template, the Financing section does not include the option to view the lifetime savings and cumulative cashflow chart.
Previously, reps could click “Expand details'' in the Financing section to show lifetime savings and a cumulative cashflow chart. Now, this button has been removed from the standard template. As before, both charts and lifetime savings numbers are available under the financing input page in Sales Mode.
Admins can choose to add the information back in by adding content blocks into a custom template.
